On that day at 10am the Peebles Pipes and Drums will march down the High Street with the mascot of the Royal Regiment of Scotland at the head (‘Cruachan 3rd’ – a small Shetland pony) commemorating the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War. Children will be walking behind with boards showing the names of local people who lost their lives in that conflict. There will be people collecting for Poppy Scotland.
InChorus will be singing a selection of WWI songs at some point along the route. We would love to see as many as possible supporting this event.
